Injury Prone?
Recently the NFL, players union and commissioner Roger Goodell met to discuss the issue of expanding the season to 18 games. Now I am not a fan of this because of the possible injuries these athletes can face. Football is a brutal sport no doubt and 16 games takes a toll on one's body. Just look at the injuries that are already occuring and we just finished week three. If they expand to 18 games then there is going to be more injuries that can affect a players season obviously but also the rest of his life after football i.e. concussions. Now football is what everyone looks forward to each week and most in my opinion like the fact that the season could possibly move to 18 games. However I think you have to look at what could happen to these athletes in the long run. Also, I think they should just stay traditional with 16 games, you dont see the MLB changing from 162 games to say 182. What are your thoughts on this issue?

I agree with this 100%. An 18 game schedule would hurt players even more than it already does. I say just keep the 16 game schedule and take out 2 preseason gams because 4 is just ridiculous. An 18 game season will make football last until mid February and thats way too long for these athletes to play.
