PEDdling Situation
Recently strong safety Steven Gregory of the San Diego Chargers was suspended four games for performance enhancing drugs. This is a shame because this guy was having his best season in the NFL to date. Gregory said "I was completely shocked to find out about this positive test from May during the off-season. I have never knowingly used any form of performance enhancing substance, however as an athlete I know that I am responsible for everything that goes into my body." I feel sorry for him but the NFL has a strict policy just like MLB. It is still awful to see how our society is with PEDs and yes, it has toned down a little bit but it will always be a factor in sports no matter what. How do you guys feel about this story or PEDs in general?

I feel as if the performance enhancing drugs have gotten way out of hand. Yes, it has calmed down a little since the very out break of the news of such types of medication and substances, but it should have never been a factor. Back before all of the new technologies and studies were being conducted the players were natural and such things as these drugs were never even thought of just so that athletes could better their game. I mean wouldn't you want to have people idolize you knowing that you have gotten where you are all because of your hard work, dedication, and desire; not because you knew the right medication to take? As for Gregory, he is lucky for just sitting out four games even though it was the peak of his career. He did it to himself and had the choice to make. He made the wrong one and now has to pay for his actions.
